ESPRIT
PRESENTS
FALL-HOLIDAY COLLECTION 2012-2013

Esprit’s offering for  Fall-Holiday  2012/13 is a whirlwind tour of international fashion across the world’s chicest cities, narrated by the beautiful Gisele Bundchen, ably styled by French stylist and fashion editor Camille Bidault-Waddington and shot to perfection by British fashion photographer David Sims. The collection for Fall-Holiday evokes the cosmopolitan woman, chic and on-trend whatever the occasion and wherever she might be.

The collection is reminiscent of the Big City Woman and her daily life – shopping on 5th avenue or relaxing at a downtown Parisian cafe. Walk the higher end of high street this season as the collection introduces outstanding high quality wools and velvets contrasted with flowing jerseys, silks and satins. A relaxed silhouette is broken with edgy leather accents this season – evoking the laidback Urban with an Edge vibe. Explore the fall landscape through muted burgundy and merlot, and add glam through metallic finishes. End with a muted coral and moss green in slim fit denims and knits to complete effortless city chic a la Gisele.

Women – Get out and about this Fall Holiday and explore both the big city and natural influences. Start with feminine dress in cute style broken up by chunky knit cardigan and chunky boots. Experiment with structured cotton and striking mesh contrasted with undyed slub twill, or work an oversized look this Fall coupled with slim fit denims. Work burnt blue with beige and olive tones this Fall.

Men – Bring the outdoors in with denims in a strong vintage wash or add accents in checkered flannel. Add a city vibe with a smart wool gilet or fabulous quilted sports jackets. Natural is in this season with napped cotton and moleskin in suede, cord and leather effect finishes.

Woman’s wear:

Casual: Dress you state of mind this season with relaxed new silhouettes. Work cotton jodhpurs with an oversized check shirt made from napped flannel and a casual cotton parka with a fake fur trim, or skinny denims with chunky cable knit sweater and wool pea coat. Move from flowing silks to jacquard to chunky loose knits. It’s all about wearing your thoughts.

Collection: Real life is the inspiration behind the Collection range. Narrow riding pants with leather patch appliqués paired with a checkered boxy jacket in contrasts such cavalry twill and cotton silks make a striking statement.  Angora and eco fur outerwear contrasts structured blazers and a smart business wardrobe to reflect the myriad personas of the urban Gisele.

Men’s wear:

Casual:  Vintage inspired, Esprit’s California heritage is beautifully evoked through Henley shirts in irregularly structured yarn, coupled with an outdoor knit jacket with a shawl collar. Wool jackets with a down lining sit beside wool and chambray in colours of the Big Sur, from oceanic blues to a burnt orange and cognac for a subdued tone.

Collection: Reinterpret the urban male, the counterpart to a city Gisele, this Fall season. Slim fit trousers coupled with slightly overcut tops in a looser silhouette, using high quality wool and cashmere mixes evoke business meetings and nights out in Berlin and Paris. Nod to the outdoors in details such as open edges, taped seams and handcrafted details that evoke natural California.

The ‘Bodywear’ collection marries form and function for men and women with details such as using soft, brushed materials and soft flannels. Hipster shorts with seams and chunky drawstrings add a masculine edge. A key focus is the combinable range for both men and women - experiment with playful checkered bottoms coupled with hoodies sporting contrast elbow patches.
