INTRODUCING 'LOTUS FLOWER' 

Nandita Thirani welcomes you to Lakme Fashion Week 2012, Winter Festive show . This show is different from her previous collections in the sense that it is co-designed by herself and by her daughter Anuradha. 

The Fall/ Winter collection has been inspired by the Lotus Flower , one of the nature’s most beautiful creations .The flowers remarkable simplicity and elegance makes it one of the best examples of divine ideation passing into concrete form.

The collection is Experimental Couture . The colour palette revolves around the colours found in various varieties  of the flower tempered  by neutrals namely black , white and nude. The silhouettes go a step further in defining the underlying inspiration and the meticulously handcrafted embellishments along with the wide choice of fabrics act as key catalysts in keeping the collection timeless and wearable .The shoes worn by the models have been provided by Spirited-Soles , Handpainted shoes and the jewellery from Kusum’s Collection by Nishi Murli - Jakarta , Indonesia.

Nandita Thirani, is a veteran for over 15 years in the Indian fashion industry and a well known name in India and abroad. The Kolkata (Calcutta) based being from Kolkata couturier, comes with a rich and varied experience in fashion. Nandita is the owner/director of a highly successful fashion export company. She mainly retails under two labels “Contradiction by Nandita Thirani.”, which is her Western Prêt line, and "Nandita Thirani" that consists of Bridged, Couture and Bridal wear.
