Sejal is not afraid to experiment with the colour palette and uses layers and embellishments to adorn her creations and aims at offering designs which are extremely wearable. For her monsoon collection, she has worked with colours like ash grey and cream and blacks pairing them with brighter colours like canary yellow, shocking pink and teal shades. 

Talking about her “Cindrella meets her Prince Charming” collection, Sejal remarks, “We have used all bright colours and the ensembles being cut to look like a dream, just like transporting us into the palace of the prince.”

The USP of Sejal’s creation is the innovative idea of using intricate embroidery and classy design making the creation look heavy on the outset but is supremely feather light, which gives couture a new meaning. She has used bright colours and fabrics that are flowing and voluminous, nets lightly embroidered in her signature style- Gota craft. It has lehengas, kurtas and sarees stitched and pleated for a princess feel. The colour palette, the silhouette, the feel, the texture gives this line a soft romantic feel, capturing the rains with the end look being soft flowing and very feminine.

Sejal Kanoi

Sejal Kanoi, a designer of luxury couture line for women, men and kids started her career a decade back. She believes that art lies in small details, which woven together creates magic. 

Sejal studied fashion from National Institute of Fashion Design, Bangalore. After a short stint at Levi Strauss, she then started crafting her own creations. According to her, design is an extension of the soul, so the clothes should enchant both the wearer and the onlooker.

With various exhibits pan India, and now retailing from all leading multi designer stores across the country, Sejal Kanoi has now opened her own boutique with hand-picked collections.
